AWESOME!

This weekend was the Leeds University Christian Union's House Party 2004 at Quinta in Shropshire. I had no hesitation in going and it turns out i had a fantastic time as i made lots of new mates within the CU, got to meet and speak with many of the current members of the exec. team as well as learn and be challenged from quality teaching from Ken Cowan, our guest speaker, and fellow students in CU.
The weekend basically consisted of two seminar sessions where you could choose from seminars on discipleship, testimonies and spirtitual discipline to name but a few. There was also whole group meetings where we had a talk from Ken and worship alongside the notices and prayer.
Being an AYF-er i can say it was very much similar to Cloverley, but of course different because there was no Rob Cook, Matt Emery, Trevor, Lee, Becky or Katie - nor was there the same atmosphere as at AYF weekends away - however this was a good thing as the reason behind it is because with lots of different aged students it was a more mature atmosphere with people just like you - broke students.

However, it also shows how great a group AYF really is - if a bunch of students can create a weekend away that almost (yes, almost) is the same as the AYF Cloverley, Camp Experience - which is totally unique - and thats because God works in many different ways with different people. :-)

I really look forward to looking ahead to see if i can be at Cloverley - i'd love to be there with my AYF Family.

For now though, I'm in Leeds living my life with & for almighty God, who i know has a marvellous plan for my life which i'm starting to see unfold - or at least i think so!

May God Bless you all and his Holy Spirit keep you refreshed and wanting to grow in your christian faith each and everyday on earth.

As paul says in Philippians 1:21 ".. to live is Christ and to die is gain" - a very challenging verse i know, but something which not only shows us how awesome paul was, but perhaps something we should focus on the meaning of in our own lives.

Anyway, I'd best get on, I've lots to do in Reading Week this week (1st-5th November) with an essay to write on the kyoto protocol and visiting my best friend in Manchester.

All the best, God bless (yes again)
